To reserve any public park for private events or other uses, please contact City Hall to notify us that you will be submitting a reservation request, then download and submit the Parks Reservation Form.

A $20 non-refundable application fee applies to all reservations. Park reservations may be made during the same calendar year of the event date. Cancellations with a refund of your electric fee must be made no later than 5 days before your event. Reservation subject to approval by City Hall.

The Parks & Recreation Committee meets the first Monday of each month at 3:00 pm at the Mueller Civic Center.  The public is welcomed to attend!


Butler Park - Between S. 11th and S. 14th Streets

Playground area, skateboard park, tennis court, basketball court, baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, restrooms, two shelters, outdoor grill and picnic tables, concession building, long walking paths. Public library located at south of park on Library Drive.


Centennial Park/Kidney Springs Park (Between N. Garden Street & N. River Street)

Centennial Park/Kidney Springs Park

Located in the middle of town, easily accessible by footbridge and traffic bridge. Fountain, two shelters, picnic tables, public restrooms. Fall River and Fall River Freedom Trail run beside it and the walking trail connects to Kidney Springs Park which has a natural spring coming from the side of the hill under a gazebo. Recently built covered stage allows public performances during events.


Chautauqua Park - Hot Brook Canyon Rd. (0.4 mi. northwest from Evans Plunge Mineral Springs)

Lower Chautauqua has playground area, picnic tables and outdoor grills. Please be cautious of fallen rocks and follow any posted safety advisories.
Upper Chautauqua has two areas of outdoor settings, a shelter with picnic tables and outdoor grills, playground area and restrooms. It has a rock bridge over Fall River and more picnic and walking areas along the river.

School Street Park - Cold Brook Ave. (0.3 mi north from Evans Plunge Mineral Springs)

Playground areas and picnic tables. No facilities.


Brookside Park - S. River Street (Opposite 315 S. River Street)

Playground area, picnic tables and footbridges. Seasonal restroom. Fall River and the Freedom Trail run through this park area.  Places for swimming, wading, and tubing can be found along Fall River.

The Fall River Freedom Trail (Mueller Civic Center to Chautauqua Park)

Freedom Trail

The trail is apporixiamtely 2.3 miles both ways. It starts behind the Mueller Center and follows Fall River up to Kidney Springs Park then resumes from Evans Plunge Mineral Springs to Upper Chautauqua Park.  Benches along the way, passes by Brookside, Centennial, School Street and Upper Chautauqua Parks. Plenty of opportunities to cross footbridges to downtown shopping or dining.


Umiker Park (Between Hwy 18 Bypass and Joplin Ave, Opposite Econo-Lodge hotel)

Picnic tables, trash cans and river access. No facilities.
