The purpose of this ordinance is to help protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens by preventing blight, protecting property values, preserving the Historic district and preserving the integrity of neighborhoods by avaoiding the creation of nuisances and nuisance properties, thus ensuring the safe and sanitary maintenance of dwellings, commercial and industrial buildings and the properties on which they exist.

If you are aware of a property that meets the requirements of a 'nuisance' please fill out a Nuisance Property Complaint Form and submit it to the Development Coordinator office for action.
