- The City of Hot Springs adopted building codes and established the role of Building Official to ensure the health and safety of the public is maintained through the adherence to the codes and regulations established by law for the construction, alteration or use of new and existing buildings.

The purpose of this ordinance is to help protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens by preventing blight, protecting property values, preserving the Historic district and preserving the integrity of neighborhoods by avaoiding the creation of nuisances and nuisance properties, thus ensuring the safe and sanitary maintenance of dwellings, commercial and industrial buildings and the properties on which they exist.

If you are aware of a property that meets the requirements of a 'nuisance' please fill out a Nuisance Property Complaint Form and submit it to the Development Coordinator office for action.
